In a concerted effort to bolster security and intelligencecollaboration, SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, chaired a pivotalSubsidiary Multi-Agency Centre (SMAC) meeting at the District PoliceHeadquarters Kishtwar today. The session saw the attendance of officers fromthe Police, Army, CAPF, and various intelligence agencies operating within the district.

The meeting involved a comprehensive discussion on thecurrent security landscape, particularly in view of recent terroristactivities. Participants exchanged critical insights, suggestions, andassessments, with a primary focus on formulating joint strategies for efficientground monitoring. This included plans for effective area domination,surveillance on anti-social elements, real-time intelligence sharing, andsocial media monitoring in preparation for Independence Day-2024. Specificinstructions were issued to ensure robust security measures during thesesignificant occasions.

SSP Kishtwar emphasized the necessity of a unified approachto maintain the district’s peaceful atmosphere. Strategies were carefullydevised to preempt disruptive activities and counter rumor dissemination,particularly during the Independence Day celebrations and other festivals.Officers were encouraged to work in unison to ensure a coordinated response topotential challenges, with special attention to the unique security needs ofthese events.

Stressing the importance of coordination and high-levelsynergy, SSP Kishtwar advised that all security forces share any potentialinformation promptly for real-time action.

The meeting concluded positively, with a strong commitmentto enhanced cooperation among all agencies. SSP Kishtwar expressed optimismthat these collective efforts would significantly contribute to maintainingsecurity and tranquility in the district during the upcoming Independence Dayand associated festivities.
